We finally made it to Acoyapa in time for the rodeo. Like most events in Nicaragua it's fairly disorganized, chaotic, and a small miracle that no one gets killed. It's also quite a sight to see. Most of the bull riders are completely smashed drunk and can barely walk under their own power let alone ride a bull. Also, most of the male spectators (except wimpy gringos) watch the festivities from inside the ring. When the bull charges 50 people climb up the fence that surrounds the ring. A typical day of alcohol fueled mayhem in Nicaragua.
